Fixed pool, fast, finite

Referral giveaways

A fixed prize pool is split between the highest referrers and a random draw among participants. These campaigns are short, clearly defined, and the format we are asked to run most often. They are also the easiest to assess honestly, because the pool and the deadline are both published.

Who it suits
People with an audience, for the referral portion, and anyone at all for the draw portion. The draw is genuinely a lottery and worth treating as one.
What it costs
Minutes. Occasionally a small on-chain action. Financially negligible.

How to take part

A blueprint rather than a guarantee. Following every step improves your chances; nothing makes a distribution certain.

Check the split before you start

A pool weighted heavily toward top referrers is not worth chasing without an audience. The draw portion is the part open to everyone.

Complete every required action

Entries are commonly invalidated for one missed step, usually a follow or a join that was undone later.

Do not unfollow or leave before the draw

Verification typically happens at the end, not at entry.

Refer honestly

Bought or botted referrals are the most consistently detected form of cheating in this category and usually void the entry entirely.

Note the deadline and the announcement channel

Winners are announced in a specific place, and the announcement is heavily impersonated.

Expect nothing from a draw

A random draw among tens of thousands is a lottery ticket. That is fine, as long as it is treated as one.

What this has paid historically

Figures below are from the distributions named, on the dates named. They describe what happened once and are not a forecast. Most campaigns in every category pay nothing at all.

How to read a published pool

A campaign advertising a $25,000 pool split between top referrals and a lucky draw might allocate the majority to referrers and the remainder to a draw among all participants. Divide the draw portion by the realistic entrant count to get your actual expected value — usually a small number.
